The Son Shines

What a week! What a great revival! Bro. Cordle has really preached good this week. We were so blessed to have him and his sweet wife and daughter at our church this week. (Wow! Isn't Rachel so talented?!) I think the last two nights messages were the best, although they were all good.
Thursday night the message was about "Obtaining the Promises". Every promise in God's Word is just as true now as it was then. Not only can we count on the promises in His Word, we can count on the promises He makes to us personally.
Friday night was about "God's Word". Not only is it that God spoke, God is still speaking. God's Word is alive, so it is very much present tense! Take God at His word!!!!

Friday night after church alot of us went to Denny's. We had great food and fellowship. (The zesty nachos are great, by the way!) Here are a few pictures I took at Denny's.

Home Sweet Home

My, how good it is to be back home! Andrew preached a revival in South Georgia last week for Bro. Jamie Ellington at Saint Paul Holiness Church in Jacksonville, GA. We met some very sweet people!! We really had a good time and some good services. Nathanael enjoyed playing with Bro. Jamie's boys.

Connor is 5 & Carson is 7. Cute kids.

It started snowing Friday night around 5:00. They said it was the first snow they've had in 37 years!!! It was beautiful! Because they never get snow, they don't salt the roads and they don't have snow plows. We left after church Friday night to come home. The roads to the interstate were mostly covered with snow. It took us 2 hours to go 50 miles. I was so nervous!!!! The interstate was pretty good, except the bridges and just a few spots. We had to go 45-55 mph, and about 30-35 mph on the bridges. We slid a couple of times. We were pulling a camper so that made everything worse. Thank God we made it safely home around 5:30 a.m. Saturday morning!

When we got home we had about 5 inches of snow on the ground. Abby & Nathanael played in it Saturday. They were so excited.

About to throw snowballs at each other.

Paking a snowball.

The snow melted quick. By Saturday afternoon it was all gone except in the shady areas. Oh well. It was pretty while it lasted.

This week we are in revival at our church with Bro. John Cordle. It started yesterday morning. What great messaged we have heard already! I'm looking for the Lord to do great things for us this week!

ICE!!!

It has been cold this weekend! We got sleet and freezing rain Friday night & Saturday. It covered everything!!! The trees were so pretty. They looked like they were loaded with diamonds. Abby & Nathanael thought you could play in the ice the same as you can snow. Not quite!

School was delayed 2 hours this morning so I didn't have to set my alarm clock. I still woke up at the usual time, though. That's one thing about being a teenager I miss. If the alarm clock wasn't set, I could sleep, sleep, sleep!! Not anymore, hardly. Oh, well.

Hope everyone has a very blessed day!!!
